In a conference that included reveals of God of War and Resident Evil 7it was clear that Sony had — and still has — high expectations for Days Gone. While Days Gone missed its original release window and then had its February launch date pushed back, it figures to be the biggest game arriving this April.
In the trailer, he recounts riding down the open road with a woman, presumably his wife or girlfriend. The assumption here, based on the language he uses, is that she either fell victim to the virus herself, or was taken out by someone afflicted with the virus.
A man with a head tattoo, possibly a member of St. John appears to be on a vendetta as a bounty hunter, and it seems as if he is a lone wolf, working outside of his biker gang in the present. In the reveal trailer, however, St. John enters through a gate into what appears to be a safe haven, suggesting that there are camps where St. John can regroup before setting back out into the apocalyptic wilderness.
The video above shows off some of the landscapes in Days Gone. The E3 demo picked up right where the game trailer left off. Presumably on a bounty, St. John rides into an abandoned lumber yard in search of Two-Dog. While on foot, chasing down Two-Dog, we witness the effects of the virus during St.
As showcased in the demo, St. John will encounter huge masses of freakers at a time. And while they appear to travel in packs, they do seem to be at least relatively autonomous, as they converged on St. John from multiple directions. One other important thing to note about freakers is that they come out during the day, but if they follow zombie lore, there may be even more of them on hand when night falls. In our preview, we moved gear from our motorcycle stash into our inventory.
Besides high-powered assault rifles and pistols, resource management appears to be key to survival. In the demo, St. On top of maintaining healthy ammunition levels and throwable weapons like Molotov cocktails, Days Gone will feature a crafting system.
In gameplay footage shown at E3St. John pillages scraps from a broken-down car to modify his pistol. Along with your own inventory, there are other ways to slow down hordes of freakers.

In case you did click the blue button before joining a meeting but no one can hear you speak, your mic is likely muted. In this case, the mic icon in the bottom-left corner will be crossed out. Just click the icon to unmute yourself or press space — both options get the job done.
The same thing applies to the camera. It may be turned off by default as soon as you join a meeting, so just click the camera icon in the taskbar to turn it on. Go to Settings in Zoom and then Video or Audio to select the right device. Did an unexpected visitor join one of your meetings and started sharing filthy images and videos? Zoom has a major security issue that allows this to happen.
The first one is to update your Zoom app to the latest version. Zoom has implemented a few new security measures recently that more or less prevent Zoombombing altogether. Additionally, all attendees are placed in a waiting room first and can then join the meeting once the host lets them in.
These improvements made by Zoom are great, but there are still a few extra security measures you have to keep in mind to prevent getting Zoombombed. But there are other tricks you can use for an additional layer of security. One of them is to lock the meeting after all the attendees have joined it. Also keep in mind that the host can always remove unexpected visitors from a meeting with ease in case they still manage to get in somehow.
In this case, we also suggest that you disable the option that allows removed users to log back into the meeting. Chances are you joined a meeting with a browser instead of the dedicated app. Although Zoom works in browsers, the functionality of the web-based version is limited compared to the app.
To fix this problem and get access to all the features offered by Zoom, download the Zoom app on your device and always use to it host a meeting or join one. Someone might have kids who are running around the house and screaming or a neighbor who is mowing his lawn. The noise makes it hard to hear the person speaking during a meeting and is just generally unpleasant. Only the person who speaks at a given time should have the mic turned on. Sadly, that rarely happens. Read next: 10 Zoom tips and tricks you should know about.
To solve this issue, the host can mute all participants on entry. This means that everyone will have their mic turned off by default as soon as they join a meeting, which will prevent any possible background noise. It will come, it may just take a while. While most activation emails are sent out within seconds, some may take up to 30 minutes to make it to your inbox. Also make sure to check if the activation email from Zoom was placed in the spam folder of your email client.

New workplaces, new food sources, new medicine--even an entirely new economic system. As such, I recently embarked on an office redesign intended to 1 make my space comfortable and 2 make me proud of how I look on the many video calls that now dominate my days.
To anyone scoffing at this second point, consider how much money and effort people put into things like clothing, shoes, and makeup, all with the goal of making a good impression. Here are 14 products I recommend to make your video call station professional and polished—and turn working from home into a more enjoyable experience. They also charge my laptop at the same time via that same cable. Instead, I needed to route the feed through another app called Snap Camera. More recently, I picked up a Cam Link 4Kwhich fixed the issue. Getting the camera in the right position was important in order to make it appear like I was looking people in the eye—meaning the camera would need to be close to the top of my monitor.
After striking out looking for a camera desk mount, I ended up buying a tall monitor stand that clamps to my desk and attaching the camera to the extension arm with a ballhead clamp. Behind me, I have a custom credenza from The Hunt Vintage.

Early stage VCs report spending almost the same amount of time on sourcing new investments as they did before the pandemic, but they also expect to do fewer investments. By taking away the ability to meet in person, this pandemic has taught us about the importance of meeting in person and how we might find a new balance between in-person versus Zoom-only investing once we are through it.
There are three key pieces of information that are harder to collect via Zoom. Meeting a team in person gives us the ability to pick up on communication cues between team members — the side glances that tell you how they work together or that a power dynamic exists. These subtle cues are impossible to see on video chat.
The Zoom format is also moving presentations from an interactive discussion, to more of a turn-taking format. The result is that the format cuts out information about the interpersonal team interactions that matters for investors.
The best companies come with an energy and a tangible excitement that is evident not only from the leadership team, but from the broader team itself. How do you judge esprit de corps via Zoom? You also pick up on cues that are impossible to gather in online meetings.
Does the CEO sit in an isolated corner office or have they embedded themselves in a specific group? Do the offices give off a dynamic energy or are they sullen? It gives us a trusted confidant to gut-check our thoughts about the company.
It also tells us about the caliber of the team that is being recruited by a company. Is the person we bumped into someone that we would want on our team if we were to start a new company? Beyond the informational cues that we get from meeting in person, it also is how we have learned to build a personal, trusting relationship with each other. One of the things I like to do with companies prior to investing is to take the founding team out for a drink.
We are in the process of adapting our practices for building relationships and trust in our Zoom-only world. But for now, this is still an area where it feels like we are collectively coming up the learning curve. How have early stage investors adapted their processes to make investments online?
So, how has early stage investing changed during the Covid Zoom boom? Because we can only glean so much information from online-only meetings, investors have had to find ways to build the confidence to move forward. This is leading to more time spent on each new investment. Existing relationships have always been an important factor for early stage investments.Lori Wilson. Thursday, September 17th, Kristen has made a lot of enemies in Salem. That had further-reaching consequences than they could have imagined, as, in the throes of her grief, Kristen accidentally pushed nurse Haley Chen down a flight of stairs to her death.
Despite Eli recently arresting an on-the-run Kristen for stabbing Victor, her crimes have mostly been overlooked. Melinda and Haley had only just connected as mother and daughter before the nurse was tragically killed.
Haley spent her whole life thinking Melinda was her disapproving sister, but in reality, she was the woman who gave birth to her. Rolf is also making another appearance. Could he be keeping Haley alive somewhere?

Time to come home, Billie Reed. The ultimate bad boy with a heart of gold. Those are reasons enough to bring her back, but her knack for constantly getting in trouble makes her entertaining as well. The partners in crime could definitely shake things up in Salem, especially if Anne still has it out for Jennifer. Rolf is always hanging around. Lexie needs to return to her husband Abe, who could certainly use a storyline. Maybe the good doctor could bring her son Theo home with her.
Especially one as entertaining as Bart? Rolf, who we have to imagine can reverse that fatal stab wound with his eyes closed. Her tough love and reassuring presence in Salem are sorely missed. Just think of all the drama that could go down considering Brady is still in love with Kristen, who shot Paul in the back, thereby paralyzing him. Besides, Paul could bring back that hot therapist who whisked him off to rehab in San Francisco.
